Surge detector are designed to protect your electrical installations against surges due to atmospheric phenomena (e.g the lightning) or industrial causes (manipulation surge, inductive charge switching, etc). In regions where storms are frequent, it is strongly recommended to install additional systems. The extra cost of materials and fitting involved, is always more than compensated for by greater immunity, which limits on site work and avoids premature degradation of electronic cicuits. The maximum current charges (maximum intensity charges shock) have been tested with a 1.250µs supply pulse charge and 8/20µs on current. The PF2RV is similar to the PF2R with the addition of a neon warning light which permanently monitors the state of the internal components
