This glass break detector offers effective protection against theft. A single detector can cover a whole room regardless of the number of windows. The DBV uses two detection techniques: FLEX which is sensitive to the very low frequencies generated by a sharp blow on a window, and AUDIO which detects the frequencies emitted by breaking glass. For the alarm to be triggered, the AUDIO must detect breaking glass just after the FLEX has signaled a sharp blow on the window. There are 3 LEDs for testing and adjusting the DBV and it can detect up to 9 meters away. Alarm relay type NC. The DBV can be mounted on a wall or ceiling but it should be in an open area. If the building is protected by a metal roller bling it is recommended that the glass break detector be installed on the window frame.
