Nitrate-tester is intended for an estimation (express analysis) of the quantitative maintenance of nitrates in vegetables, fruit, in fresh meat, and also in products applied, for a food of children. Checking the content and quantity of nitrates in an analyzed product is made by piercing of a measured product by a probe located in the bottom part of the device.

In the nitrate-tester "SOEKS" for each product the norm of maximum concentration limit (maximum permissible concentration) nitrates is set. Unlike out-of-date devices with the pointer indicator in which products were combined in groups, nitrate-tester "SOEKS" is adjusted on a concrete product. As a result of measurement you will see on the display the exact quantity of the maintenance of nitrates in milligrams on kg of a checked product, and also the recommendation about the validity to the use by indication of green, yellow or red color.

Principle of operation:
Geiger Counter detects beta particles and gamma rays and X, called ionizing radiation, with great sensitivity. It has Beta particles, and ionization created by X and Gamma radiation, indicating the 'amount of energy, transmitted to the material per unit time.
The unit displayed is the Micro Rem per hour (microRem / h) or micro Sievert per hour (microSv / h). It corresponds to an equivalent dose received by the human body for an hour, or 'dose rate'.

Their penetration may be very large, very thick lead and concrete and strongly attenuates.
X-rays Gamma rays are similar to but trained in physical phenomena occurring within the electron cloud of the atom. They are used in medicine and rarely found in nature.
